Traditional South Indian Cafe

My favourite place in chennai. The best coffee I’ve ever had in my life, except for my mum’s coffee. I decided to pop in one afternoon and take a picture of the settings before they had opened.

On the top of a lorry

A friend had to do some shifting and I went over to help her out. Once all the luggage was loaded on the truck, we got onto her scooter to find that it wasn’t starting.

After a brief bit of cursing and kicking stones we decided to hitch a ride on the truck. So the chasing began. thankfully the guy wasn’t driving very fast and we managed to catch up with him. because there was no space up front and we being the brats we are, we decided to climb up on top and enjoy the breeze while sitting on some rolled up mattresses.

It took quite a while to reach but this picture was worth the bum-ache.

Besant Nagar at noon

The streets of Besant Nagar are rather lovely, I’d even go as far as saying that it is one of the neatest places in chennai. Unfortunately catching the road traffic free is a bit of a feat. By some luck I managed to get this shot and it is one of my faves. So I thought i’d share it with you.

Lady of the south

Mist in the eve at Thekkady

I spend the better part of 2008 in Thekkady, working. When I was returning to my hotel room one evening because the mist was starting to set in, I was crossing a tiny water body. Asking my driver to stop I started clicking pictures but the moment I clicked two the light started to reduce so I had to pack up and get back. Out of those two pics, this looked good. So I’m posting it for you guys to see.

I am really looking forward to going back to Thekkady atleast to get more snaps.
